Former Adobe Employee Expands Candy Empire

June 9, 2007

Former Adobe employee Irene Kung has launched a very successful business with a Candy Bouquet Franchise called Mrs. Yen's, Inc. Her plans to rapidly expand her candy empire in the San Francisco Bay Area include a new storefront and a number of new carts in local shopping malls. Candy Bouquet is the delicious alternative to flowers.

Cupertino, CA (PRWEB) June 9, 2007 -- Former Adobe employee Irene Kung traded her corporate lifestyle to build a candy business in Northern California. Kung, who also goes by Mrs. Yen, is president of Mrs. Yen's, Inc., a Candy Bouquet franchise, who now owns the exclusive right to offer Candy Bouquets in more than 50 zip codes stretching from the Central Valley to the San Francisco Bay. She just announced the grand opening of her newest achievement, a new retail store in Hanford, CA. The addition of this latest store triples the coverage area of Mrs. Yen's, Inc., Candy Bouquet franchise.

"During the next five years," said Yen, "the Mrs. Yen's, Inc. Candy Bouquet franchise will cover much of Northern California, from the Central Valley to San Francisco. I currently envision five storefront operations and seasonal carts in all major shopping centers throughout the 50 zip codes of the region."

Mrs. Yen's, Inc. is a candy boutique specializing in gifts and featuring Candy Bouquets. In addition to Candy Bouquets, Mrs. Yen's Inc. also offers other gifts, custom candies and holiday novelties. Mrs. Yen's currently has a retail store in San Bruno, a year-round cart in Valley Fair/Westfield Shopping Town in San Jose and a seasonal cart in Santana Row. They also take phone and internet orders. The eagerly-awaited opening of the Hanford store promises a delicious alternative to flowers that will not fade, wilt or die.

"Each bouquet we design," said Yen, "comes in a creative container full of delicious gourmet candies and chocolates from around the world. We use unique, colorful and fun accessories to create 'one-of-a-kind' gifts. Every bouquet is professionally created by hand, designed just for you, and no two are alike. All of our Candy Bouquets are also available in sugar-free versions for those who have special dietary needs."

Born in Hong Kong, Irene came to the USA in 1976. After earning her MBA in Seattle, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for a position as a programmer/analyst at American Micro Systems. She was promoted to data administrator before accepting a position with Convergent Technologies as a systems analyst. She was quickly promoted to manager of the IS group of the customer service division. She later worked for Adobe Systems as project manager for the business applications group.

When Irene discovered the Candy Bouquet website, she knew she had found a way to make her long-held dream a reality. She always thought that when she retired, she and her husband would open a little candy store in a resort area. Not only is Candy Bouquet a candy store -- it is so much more than that. Owning the Candy Bouquet franchises in more than 50 northern and central California zip codes is a bit more than a small shop in a resort area. But Yen says, "That's what happens when you dream big."
