Raquel Freeman shares ownership of their Candy Bouquet Store with her husband, Rob Freeman, and my mother-in-law, Nancy Freeman. Her husband recently quit his job to work full-time at the store, at which they just signed their five-year renewal in February 2007. She and Rob have 2 daughters, Rebecca, 8, who plans to work at their Candy Bouquet store when she grows up, and Renee, 6.
She said they became interested in the Candy Bouquet franchise because it looked like a fun business that would allow her the flexibility to work and still keep her family a priority.
"My favorite thing about Candy Bouquet is that I truly feel we are bringing happiness to people," Raquel said. "I love it when a new customer sees our bouquets for the first time. Making the customer happy is my main priority, even if it means adding a little extra candy into the bouquet for the customer who maybe can't afford much."
Raquel said she believes that success in measured in different ways. "I consider our store successful because we are satisfying our customers and have a good reputation in the community. I don't necessarily measure success by how much money we brought in this month."
"If I learned anything in life it's to not take things to seriously … I let God guide me, and sometimes that takes time and prayer," she said.
"My husband, mother-in-law, and I love being a Candy Bouquet Franchisee and hope to have our store for many years to come."
